BIO
A classically trained R&B music artist that commands the stage with her stage presence. With every note oozing with emotion,Jazzgarcelle is a woman determined to create music and a brand that will impact her audience.
JazzGarcelle is a member of Beautiful, Brown, Bold Organization, which celebrates sisterhood and accomplishments. She is an active member and lecturer at St. Benedict the Moor Church in the Hill District of Pittsburgh. JazzGarcelle is an independent music vocalist/artist specializing in the Rhythm & Blues, Pop and Soul genres. In August 2018 she released her debut single "Boss Babe" along with her music video" . her single & music video for "Intoxicated" .
She released her highly anticipated and long awaited debut CD entitled "Music Therapy" executive produced by SMP in December 2018 . She is currently creating new material for her next EP which will be based on the different facets of a breakup. The good,bad and the ugly, giving her listeners a musical outlet.
“Jazz” cultivates her sound from a unique background of eclectic musical experiences. As with many singers, her earliest experiences began with singing in her local church. She has also performed in Community Theater, on mission tours, plays and musicals. One of her earlier “breakout” roles was as “ The Fiddler” in “Fiddler on the Roof.” Working the stage as skilled as a top model works a runway, Jazz is an accomplished artist who is always striving to perfect her craft!
JazzGarcelle’s featured performances and performance venues include: Motown Review at The August Wilson Theater, Club Cafe, Supporting Women Artist Now Organization (SWAN DAY: May, 2016), Pittsburgh Bullets Semi-Professional Basketball Game (National Anthem), “Headliners” Showcases with JAMZ Avenue Music Group, The New Hazlett Theater Sound Check, Umoja African Arts Festival, Pittsburgh Hurricane Harvey Relief Concert (October, 2017) presented by Community Empowerment Association, Hope for Haiti Disaster Relief on Mount Washington, The Pittsburgh Sportline Show on PCTV(National Anthem), National Council of Negro Women’s Sixth Annual Legacy Luncheon(Honoring Dorothy Heights), Savoy Restaurant for Willie Stargell Celebrating Women Awards (National Anthem: June, 2016).
JazzGarcelle was featured in The Soul Pitt Quarterly’s “Local Love” Music Segment (2014) and Chicago’s online magazine “Voices”(2013). In 2017, Jazz was awarded an Indie Music grant from the Goode People’s Group and Martin Guitar. She was also nominated for the Pittsburgh Underground Music Awards “Best Female R&B Music Artist” (2013). Most recently, Jazz was nominated and won “Singer of the Year” for the Pittsburgh Style and Glam Awards (June, 2018).
Most recently September 2021 she earned a “Woman of Excellence” Award by the Achieving Greatness INC and Jim Frazier Productions for her work in education making an impact in the field of special education as well as her musical work in the Pittsburgh region.
In July 2021 JazzGarcelle was featured in Fresh:Hip-hop & R&B music blog’s “Diamonds in the Rough” section. In addition Jazzgarcelle was featured & interviewed in “BuzzMusic” blog’s Spotlight and latest releases July 30th,2021 as well as "Amythest magazine" August 9th 2021 to promote her single “Intoxicated”.
Jazz wants to make a positive impact on her community through her gift of music but also use it as a platform to start a foundation for young people to develop their talents and gifts who are studying the arts, inclusive of vocal music, music production, songwriting and dance. As well as forming her own LLC production company JazzGarcelle’s favorite activities include listening to music, dancing, acting, shopping, and working out. Determined to overcome obstacles that she is faced with in her life, she strives to be the best performer and educator she can be.
Jazz Garcelle's single and music video "Love me Back which was creatively directed by Jazz came out in August 2022. She is curretly working on her follow up project, to Music Therapy while also performing in her city, and marketing her currect music.
